PCET Cultural Fest

Pimpri Chinchwad College of Engineering celebrated its annual social gathering Swaratarang 2022 with great pomp and show on 29th and 30th April 2022. This year the theme was Tribute to Indian Cinema.
The celebration, that lasted two whole days, started with, a Rangoli Competition on the theme Indian Cinema Conveying a Social Message. The competition was paired with a unique Hobby Exhibition. The exhibition became a platform for the students to display their unique hobbies, be it anything from painting, sketching to collecting coins and currencies, writing poems, or anything else! This was followed by a Grand Lunch for all the students and faculties of the institute.

The Cultural Celebration on the evening of the first day consisted of the excellent dance and singing performances along with the inaugural speeches by the dignitaries. University Rankers as well as winners of Special Prizes were felicitated during the prize distribution ceremony. Famous Marathi Actor Mr. Lalit Prabhakar was the Celebrity Guest for the evening and he felicitated few of the winners also had a conversation with the crowd. Moreover, he also danced on his famous song along with the students. The evening came to an end after the Rampwalk in which the students were dressed as characters from famous TV and Web Series.

The Second Day started with a Fun Fair in the morning where several stalls for food, drinks and games were put up by the students. Later, a Musical Dance session was arranged for the students. In the evening, the Cultural Celebration continued. The winners of various Sports events were felicitated during the prize distribution ceremony. After that, the Motor Sport Clubs of the institute were felicitated for their achievements in their respective events. The anchoring, dance and singing performances were then resumed.Marathi Actress Dr. Teja Deokar was the Celebrity Guest for the evening.

Upcoming Marathi movie Samreun’s star cast interacted with all the students and shared their movie trailer. She enjoyed talking to the students as well as dancing with them. PCCoE Art Circle presented a short skit followed by which the entire team of PCCoE Art Circle was felicitated. The Organising Committee had an introductory Rampwalk followed by the Bollywood themed Rampwalk of the students. Vote of thanks was proposed by Dr. Ajay Gaikwad, Associate Dean SDW and Convener Swaratarang 2022. The two day grand event concluded with the Grand Finale dance performance choreographed by the Dance Club of PCCoE Art Circle.
